This a rare antique Georgian spice cabinet which dates to the 18th century. It is heavy and solid, made of oak and mixed woods, and can be used wall mounted or set on a worktop. The chest has an arrangement of eleven small drawers which surround a small cupboard with door. Each of the drawers is fitted with a brass knob and the interiors are painted in old yellow paint. To the top of the cabinet is a metal loop to hang it on the wall. The wood is rich and dark with a polished finish.
It measures 43cms high x 39.5cms wide at the top, 37.5cms wide at the base x 21.5cms deep
It is in well aged condition with various marks of age and use. The door hinges are later antique replacements.
