This is a handsome large vintage chest of drawers dating to the late 20th century.
The chest is made of solid oak and mixed woods. It was made in France and epitomises the French style with very decorative handles and scrolled feet.
It has a gothic look which will suit a vintage or contemporary setting and it will make a good statement piece in a boudoir!
The chest is wide and deep, solid and very heavy.
The front is fitted with three wide drawers finished with ornate brass handles.
I have hand painted this piece in my own mix of water based black paint before finishing with clear wax for protection. The paintwork has been lightly distressed and has a smooth low sheen finish.
The top of the chest has been stripped back to natural wood and treated with Osmo-oil, a hard wearing wax oil product which has given a durable finish.
CONDITION
The chest is in very good solid structural condition with minimal signs of age and use.
The drawer interiors are in clean condition and the drawers run well.
