An elegant and useful antique bow fronted sideboard dating to the 19th century. Made from richly coloured mahogany and veneers with oak lined drawers the sideboard is heavy, solid and well made. The bow front is fitted with an arrangement of seven drawers which surround a small door fronted cupboard with interior shelf. All of the drawers have locks but the key present only locks the top middle drawer. The cupboard door is fitted with a later handle which turns to lock the door closed. The sideboard is set on tapered block legs and the top is finished with a small back plate.
The top of the sideboard has been newly French Polished, the main body has been wax polished. The wood has a lovely sheen and a good depth of character.

Condition
The sideboard is generally in solid structural condition with various cosmetic marks of age and use. The side panels have old historical shrinkage cracks which have been filled. The key only locks the top middle drawer. Please take a look at all of the photos to get an idea of its condition.
