This is a handsome little antique transit trunk dating to the early half of the 20th century.
Made from metal the trunk would have once been used as a piece of luggage on rail and sea journeys, possibly by a person in the military. The trunk has a painted finish and the top is stencilled with the original owners name and address.
Generally good structural condition with many marks of age and wear giving it a well travelled look.
