Victorian Writing Table with Drawers
This is an atractive antique mahogany writing table which dates to the late Victorian era.
It is a well made quality piece of furniture which is elegantly styled and well sized, designed in the style of Waring and Gillow.
Set on attractive legs finished with castors the table is fitted with five spacious drawers to the front which are set over an open kneehole space. The drawer fronts are finished with brass drop handles set on decorative oval back plates.
The wood has a very natural looking polished finish which has a nice sheen.
kneehole space measures 61cms high x 41.5cms wide
The table is in good structural condition with various small cosmetic marks of age and use.
To the back edge there is a small chip of wood missing, not really visible front the front.
Behind the kneehole space there may have once been a recessed shelf, there is evidence that something may have once sat there, you can only see this when you bend down and look under the table.
