Victorian Country Pine Washstand
This is a lovely Victorian country pine washstand which dates to the late 1800s.
It could serve a variety of purposes in any home and could be adapted to house a ceramic bowl style sink in a bathroom.
The stand is made of solid pine but is very lightweight and well aged, with a lot of character to the wood.
The base has slender turned legs which surround an undertier and the front is fitted with a single wide drawer finished with turned black wooden knobs.
The top is fitted with a shaped splash back and flanking towel rails.
The wood has a natural waxed finish.
height-78.5cms plus 14.5cms for the back plate
The stand is in solid structural condition with a lot of character to the wood. The top has old inactive wood worm holes and some colour variations. The front right leg is worn at the back, as shown and one towel rail has quite a few old wood worm holes. There are pink marks to the undertier on the left hand side.
Basically it is well aged but very charming none the less.
