Unusual Antique Victorian Stool
This is a rather unusual little stool which dates to the late Victorian era.
I am unsure of its original intended use and I haven't been able to find another like it.
It could be a milking stool, a cock fighting stool or perhaps a cobblers stool, it's a bit of a mystery, hopefully someone can enlighten me.
The stool is made of oak and is set on chunky blocks legs, it has a slanted and shaped top with a scalloped front edge. Below the shaped front there is a shallow drawer finished with a small knob.
The wood is very dark with an aged patina and a wax polished finish.
Generally in good structural condition with many small marks of age and use.
There are a lot of old filled woodworm holes which we have thoroughly treated as a precaution.
