Substantial Hand Crafted Reclaimed Pine Sideboard
This is a handsome reclaimed pine sideboard which has been hand crafted using modern pine, antique pine and old timber from the 1800s.
It is large, solid and very heavy, a well made piece of furniture which could form part of a free standing kitchen. The sideboard is quite substantial and its height is perfect for use as a tall worktop in a kitchen.
This piece has a rustic country look which will suit a large farmhouse or cottage, the perfect piece of furniture for anyone who loves well aged pine.
The sideboard has fielded panel doors to either side which surround a fixed central panel. The doors are set under three spacious drawers finished with turned pine handles. The lockable cupboard doors open to reveal a large interior space with a single fixed shelf for storage. The top of the sideboard is made of thick pine and is finished with a back plate.
The wood has a naturally waxed finish which has nice low sheen.
The sideboard is generally in good structural condition with many small marks of age and use to the wood. The side panels are made of, what looks like, satinwood.
There is evidence of old historical woodworm damage here and there, all inactive. There are some marks to the cupboard interior and the top has some marks and a pink stain near the back plate.
To the left hand side front edge there is a shrinkage crack to the wood.
Basically it shows signs of use but is in generally good condition.
height- 105cms to the work surface plus 10.5cms of back plate
