Small 19thC Pine Cupboard with Internal Bank Of Drawers
This is a handsome little antique table top cabinet which could serve a variety of purposes.
The cabinet dates to the late 1800s and is made of solid pine, I'm unsure of its original intended use, it is lockable so this would suggest that whatever was once stored inside was considered valuable.
The cabinet has an evocative look well suited to a gentlemans office or study but is could also look well in a kitchen, perhaps to store herbs or tea.
The cabinet has a single door to the front which opens to reveal four drawers set below open pigeon holes, the front of each drawer is finished with a recessed wooden handle.
Sadly I do not have the key, the door is kept closed with a small metal catch on the right hand side.
The wood has a wax polished finish.
The cabinet has various small marks of age and use and a few small areas of wood worm damage.
The top front corner looks to have been repaired at some point in time.
The key has been lost somewhere in time.
drawer width-small drawers 18.5cms, wide drawers 40cms
The measurements are taken at the widest points.
