Reproduction Antique Pedestal Desk by Brights of Nettlebed
This is a handsome antique reproduction pedestal desk which dates to the late 20th century.
Made by Brights of Nettlebed it is a quality piece which is well made from mahogany, mdf and figured walnut veneers. The desk has the benefit of splitting into three parts making it easy to transport and position in any home.
The desk is set on twin pedestals each housing graduated drawers which are all finished with turned wooden handles. One of the bottom drawers is double depth, designed to store files.
Above the pedestals are three further drawers and the top of the desk is inset with a brown leather scriver decorated with gold tooling. The key is present and works well.
The wood has a French polished finish which has a nice sheen.
The desk is in solid structural condition with various minor cosmetic marks of age and use.
There are a few scuffs to the corners and the top middle drawer has a pale stain to the inside.
The leather has various small marks and dents here and there.
kneehole space measures 60cms high x 51cms wide
The measurements are taken at the widest points and the desk separates into three parts.
