Antique Victorian Pine Open Waterfall Bookcase
This is a lovely country antique bookcase which dates to the late Victorian era.
Made of solid pine this piece has a rustic country look which will suit a farmhouse or cottage, the perfect piece if you love very well aged pine.
The bookcase has an open back, waterfall front and shaped sides, to the base are two enclosed hutch areas which would be ideal for storing baskets or wine crates.
The wood has a naturally waxed finish which has a low sheen.
It is a rustic and unusual piece of furniture which has a lot of character.
This piece is in solid structural condition with many marks of age and use to the wood. There is some evidence of old historical woodworm and various other marks and repairs to the wood which give it a lot of character. The side panels have both repaired near the base where the wood had been cut away.
The bottom left and hutch has two missing knot holes to the back panel.
