This is a charmingly rustic little antique chest which dates to the early 1900s.

Made of solid pine it is very heavy, solid and well made and has a rustic boatyard look which will suit a small seaside cottage, the perfect piece if you love well aged furniture.

It would be ideal for a bedroom, perhaps for use as a bedside chest.

The chest has three spacious drawers which are finished with aged metal handles and decorative escutcheons.

The wood has an old painted and ebonised finish which has been heavily distressed to give an aged look.

CONDITION

This piece is in solid structural condition with many small marks of age and use to the wood. The left hand side panel has some historical shrinkage cracks.

It is generally a rustic and well aged piece which has a lot of character.
