Antique School Style Victorian Pine Kitchen Dresser Bookcase
This is a handsome narrow Victorian pine dresser which dates to the late 1800s.
It has an evocative look which is reminiscent of a school cabinet.
The dresser is tall and narrow and has the benefit of splitting into two parts, making it easy to transport and position in any home. It would be ideal for an alcove or a room with limited space and could be used as a bookcase or kitchen dresser.
The base has double panelled doors set under a spacious drawer finished with wooden handles. The doors open to reveal a useful fixed shelf for storage and a narrow shelf near the top.
The top of the dresser is fitted shelves and a later back plate which has been painted in a lovely green colour before being lightly distressed and darkly glazed.
The wood has a darkly waxed finish which has a nice sheen.
CONDITION
The dresser is in generally good structural condition with small marks of age and use to the wood. The back plate to the top section is a later replacement.
