Antique Oak Linen Cupboard, Housekeepers Cupboard Larder with Shelves
This is a handsome antique oak cupboard which dates to the early 20th century.
The cupboard is fairly shallow and would be ideal for an alcove, hallway or a room with limited space. It could be used for storing all manner of things and lends itself well to use as a linen cupboard or kitchen larder.
The cupboard has double fielded panel doors to the front which open to reveal later pine shelves. The top of the cupboard has decorative carving and a graduated top plinth.
The base is set on squat bun feet.
The door has a lock but sadly the key has been lost, the one shown is decorative and will be included in the sale.
The wood has a naturally waxed finish which has a low sheen.
The cupboard is in very good condition with minor marks here and there and a couple of small repaired areas to the bottom near the back. The back has some old wood worm holes which have been treated as a precaution and inside there is a sliver of wood missing on one of the back panels. There are some small dents to the wood on the side panels.
The key is only decorative.
