Antique Elm & Pine Sunday School Bench
This is a useful antique bench which dates to the Victorian era.
Made of elm and pine the bench was originally used in a Sunday school and is an attractive piece of primitive vernacular furniture which will suit a rustic interior.
The bench is simply styled with a narrow plank seat and a thin back rest, the base is set on slanted block supports. It is quite long and can seat four people.
The wood has an aged and natural looking waxed finish.
This piece is in solid structural condition with many cosmetic marks of age and use to the wood, there are dents, knocks and wear to the corners. There are some old inactive wood worm holes which have been treated as a precaution.
The bench has been checked over in our workshop and has had small repairs made as necessary to make it stable and sturdy and usable for years to come.
