This is an attractive oak box settle which dates to the early 1900s.

Made of oak it is decoratively styled with ornate carvings, a slanted backrest and shaped armrests.

The seat consists of a lift up lid which opens to reveal a spacious interior for storage.

The bench will easily seat two people and will make a nice addition to a hallway or dining room, in a hallway it would be ideal for hiding shoes away.

The wood is dark and rich with a waxed finish.


The bench is in solid structural condition.

There are some marks to the seat/lid with a filled scratch and a dark mark to the left hand side.

The back of the bench has some old woodworm holes to the bottom which have been treated as a precaution.

depth- 39.5cms for the seat, 48cms front to back
