This is a useful antique sheet music cabinet which dates to the first half of the 20th century.

Made of mahogany and veneers it is fairly compact and could be used for a variety of purposes in any room.

The chest is well made, fairly solid and heavy, the front fitted with six fall front drawers which are finished with metal drop handles. Internally the drawers have patented brass fittings by 'Stones' which allow the drawer fronts to fall open.

The chest is set on cabriole style legs.

I have hand painted the exterior in my own mix of water based black paint, the interior has been left in the natural wood. The paintwork has been very lightly distressed and then waxed for protection, it has a smooth fairly matt looking finish.

CONDITION

The chest is generally in good structural condition. There are various minor cosmetic marks of age and use, small dents below the painted finish here and there.
