Pair of Antique Bentwood Chairs No14 by Mundus & JJ Kohn

  • £695.00

An attractive pair of antique bentwood chairs dating to the 1910s.

The chairs are bistro style No14 and were made by Mundus and JJ Kohn in the Vienna Secessionist style after Thonet.

They have steam pressed patterned seats decorated with a palmette design and the classic curved backs which are so distinctive to chairs of this style.

The wood has a polished finish which has an aged patination.

The chairs are in good structural condition with various marks of age and use.

They have a few old inactive wood worm holes and the curved wood of one chair is a little flat looking, the decorated seat panel also looks slightly wonky.
