Antique Carved Oak Apothecary Cabinet

  • £795.00

This is an unusual oak cabinet which dates to the Victorian era.

It was owned in later years by a Doctor and may have been originally intended for use as an apothecary or stationery cabinet.

The cabinet is solid, heavy and well made but not particularly large.

It could be used floor standing but may be better suited to use on a large desk top.

The front is fitted with three heavily carved doors which are lockable, two of the original keys are present and work well, the left hand door is missing its key so the one shown is purely decorative. The doors open to reveal fitted pigeon holes for storage.

The wood has a polished finish which has a low sheen finish.

This cabinet is in good structural condition.

The top has some marks here and there.

height- 51cms
